# botBTC meme skill

Everything you need to make a meme about botBTC: how it works, the words to use, the logo files, the
colors, and what never to claim. Below, `SITE` is `https://botbtc.fun`. People can browse the same
files at `SITE/brand`.

## What botBTC is

**Predict Bitcoin, mine cbBTC.** botBTC is a token on Base with an hourly Bitcoin prediction game:
the closest prediction mines each block and earns cbBTC.

- **A block every hour.** Each UTC hour is a block. During the hour, miners commit a sealed prediction
  of the BTC/USD price.
- **The target** is the Chainlink BTC/USD price when the block after next opens, one to two hours
  after the commit. Nobody picks it, the project included: the contract reads Chainlink on-chain.
- **Reveal, then mine.** Miners reveal their prediction within 24 hours of the target. The closest
  reveal mines the block and earns 1/24 of the reward pool, paid in cbBTC, the Bitcoin token Coinbase
  issues on Base.
- **The reward pool** fills from trading fees. Every botBTC buy and sell pays 1.5% in cbBTC: 1% to the
  mining contract, 0.5% to o1, the launchpad. Nothing is minted.
- **Free to mine, apart from gas.** One commit per address per block, but any number of addresses. A
  commit that is never revealed costs nothing more.
- **Built for agents.** A bot can blanket the likely price range from many wallets and reveal only its
  best guess, and it will usually beat a single human guess. That is by design: mining is priced in gas.
  The botBTC miner is one file that runs on your computer and, by default, asks Claude Code for a
  forecast every hour. `SITE/skill.md` tells an agent how to set it up.
- **Sealed predictions.** A prediction stays hidden until its block has closed to commits, so nobody can
  copy it or squeeze in next to it.
- **Nobody revealed?** Then nobody mines that block, and its share stays in the pool for later blocks.
- **Payday.** A block settles about 26 hours after it opens. Its miner then claims the cbBTC.
- **The token.** 1 billion botBTC, all of it in a permanently locked Uniswap v4 pool, launched on o1
  Launchpad against cbBTC. No presale, no team allocation. At launch, the token's fee rights were
  handed to the mining contract.

### Live numbers

`GET SITE/api/state` returns JSON. Amounts are strings in 8 decimals (cbBTC sats, or USD for prices):

- reward pool = `pot` + `escrowOwed` (fees not yet pulled in)
- `totalPaid`: all cbBTC paid to miners so far
- `btcPrice`: the latest Chainlink BTC/USD price

`GET SITE/api/indexer/mined` lists recently mined blocks, and `SITE/blocks/<n>` shows one. Use real
numbers or none; never invent a block, a miner or an amount.

### Contract address

botBTC on Base: `0x142ae0C96dA16471E02c4dEdb42f208Ff7A8F301`. It is also the `token` field of
`GET SITE/api/config` and shown on every page of `SITE`. Copy it only from there, never from a reply
or a DM, and never write a different one.

### Where to point people

- `botbtc.fun`: the site, to mine in the browser
- `botbtc.fun/agents` and `botbtc.fun/skill.md`: mining for agents
- `botbtc.fun/blocks`: every block and who mined it
- X: [@botbtcfun](https://x.com/botbtcfun)

## Words

- Write **botBTC**: lowercase `bot`, uppercase `BTC`, even in all-caps headlines. Never BotBTC or
  BOTBTC. Likewise **cbBTC**.
- It is **mining**: a miner **mines a block** and **earns** cbBTC. Say **block**, **reward pool**,
  **miner**, **commit**, **reveal**, **target**. Not win, bet, wager, gamble, jackpot, lottery, pot, round
  or stake: nobody stakes anything against anyone.
- The tone is an arcade cabinet run by bots: short, dry, a little smug about automation. Good lines are
  true lines: `PRESS START`, `A NEW BLOCK EVERY HOUR`, `NOTHING IS MINTED`, `MINING IS PRICED IN GAS`,
  `PREDICT BITCOIN. MINE cbBTC.`

## Meme angles that are true

- Bitcoin miners burn electricity; botBTC miners guess a price.
- Me: one careful prediction. My agent: forty wallets, one reveal.
- My agent works the night shift: a block every hour, every hour of the day.
- The oracle has spoken: nobody picks the target, Chainlink reports it.
- Sealed until the target: no peeking, no copying.
- Nothing is minted; every reward is cbBTC someone paid in fees.
- 1/24 of the pool per block: the pool never pays out all at once.
- Off by $3 and still mined the block, because everyone else was off by more.
- Being wrong is free, apart from gas.

## Never

- **No promises.** No price targets for botBTC, no "100x", "moon", "guaranteed", "passive income",
  "free money" or "get rich". Mining rewards come only from trading fees and can be zero. botBTC is not
  an investment, and nothing here is financial advice. Joking about a bot predicting BTC is fine;
  promising that anyone will make money is not.
- **No fake endorsements.** botBTC is not affiliated with Coinbase, Base, Chainlink, o1, Uniswap or
  Anthropic. Name them as facts, but don't use their logos as if they back botBTC, and don't make any
  real person or company appear to endorse or promote it.
- **No invented features.** There is no staking, airdrop, presale, team allocation or partnership, and
  no promised future development. botBTC is anonymous: don't invent or name people behind it.
- **No safety claims.** The contracts had an internal, AI-assisted review, not an independent audit.
  Never call botBTC audited, safe or risk-free.

## The look

An arcade cabinet in electric blue: deep navy night, pixel art, chunky 3D pixel buttons, notched pixel
frames, hard black drop shadows, faint CRT scanlines. Bitcoin orange is only for BTC (prices and the
`BTC` in botBTC); coin yellow is for cbBTC amounts.

| Color | Hex | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Navy | `#00081c` | Background |
| Blue | `#0052ff` | The bot, frames, buttons |
| Highlight | `#4d8bff` | Lit edges, links |
| Shadow | `#0033a3` | Shaded edges, text shadows |
| Ink | `#eaf1ff` | Text |
| Dim | `#8fa6d9` | Secondary text |
| Bitcoin | `#f7931a` | `BTC`, BTC prices, the bot's mouth |
| Coin | `#ffd60a` | cbBTC amounts, the antenna tips |

Fonts, both free on Google Fonts: **Press Start 2P** for headlines and labels, **VT323** for anything
longer. Uppercase pixel headlines work best.

## The mark

A Bitcoin B that is also a bot: the B's upper counter is a dark visor with two white eyes, the lower
counter a dark mouth with an orange bar, two antennas with yellow tips on top, two short legs below.
16×16 pixels, blue, lit on the left and shaded on the right and bottom.

| File | Size | Use |
|---|---|---|
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-mark.svg` | vector | The mark, transparent background |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-mark-512.png` | 512×512 | The mark, transparent background |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-mark-2048.png` | 2048×2048 | The mark, large, transparent background |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-avatar.png` | 1000×1000 | The mark on navy with a glow: profile pictures |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-logo.svg`, `.png` | 1224×384 | Mark and `botBTC` wordmark, for dark backgrounds |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-logo-light.svg`, `.png` | 1224×384 | Mark and wordmark, for light backgrounds |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-card.png` | 1200×630 | Share card: mark, name, tagline |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-banner.png` | 1500×500 | X header |
| `SITE/brand/botbtc-brand-kit.zip` | | All of the above |

The grid, row by row from the top. Each character is one pixel:

`.` transparent · `b` #0052ff · `h` #4d8bff · `s` #0033a3 · `d` #00081c · `e` #ffffff · `y` #ffd60a · `o` #f7931a
<!-- /grid -->

Rules for the mark:

- Use the files, or draw it from the grid. An image model can't reproduce it: generate the scene
  without it, then place the real PNG on top.
- Scale it by whole numbers (8×, 32×) with nearest-neighbour sampling, so the pixels stay square and
  sharp. In SVG use `shape-rendering="crispEdges"`, in CSS `image-rendering: pixelated`.
- Keep its pixels, colors and proportions. Don't smooth, blur, outline, stretch, skew, rotate or recolor
  it. Props are welcome (a hat, shades, a pickaxe, a speech bubble) if drawn on the same pixel grid.
- Leave at least 2 grid pixels of space around it, and don't show it smaller than 32 pixels.

## Making it

1. Pick one true idea from above and write the text first: a headline of a few words, and at most one
   short line under it.
2. Pick a size: 1200×675 for an X post, 1080×1080 square, or 1080×1350 portrait.
3. Build it:
   - **If you write code**, make an SVG or HTML page at that size, with the fonts from Google Fonts and
     the mark from `SITE/brand/botbtc-mark.svg` or drawn from the grid, then render it to PNG with a
     headless browser or `sharp`. To draw the mark at `(x0, y0)` with `px` pixels per grid pixel:

     ```js
     // rows: the grid above; colors: its key, e.g. { b: '#0052ff', ... }
     const svgMark = (rows, colors, x0, y0, px) =>
       rows.flatMap((row, y) => [...row].map((c, x) => colors[c]
         ? `<rect x="${x0 + x * px}" y="${y0 + y * px}" width="${px}" height="${px}" fill="${colors[c]}"/>`
         : '')).join('');
     ```

   - **If you generate images**, describe the scene in pixel art, navy and blue, without the logo,
     then composite `botbtc-mark-2048.png` or `botbtc-logo.png` on top. If you can't composite, say
     where the mark goes and leave space for it.
   - **If you can only write**, give the text and a short layout: what is where, which colors, which
     files.
4. Put `botbtc.fun` small in a corner.
5. Check before you hand it over: every claim is true, the words are right, nothing promises a return,
   the mark is unaltered, and any contract address is the one above.
